Hughes Community Photography Competition
The 2024 Hughes Community Photography Competition is now open. This annual competition allows local residents to showcase the beauty of our area through their lens.
To enter the competition, please upload a photo taken within the Hughes electorate of local nature, scenic locations, architecture or wildlife, along with your name and the name of your photo.
Entries close on Friday, 10 May.
The competition will be judged by representatives from local art societies, with an official event on Thursday, 23 May where the winner will be announced. The winner will receive a trophy along with a large canvas reproduction of their work.
Suburbs in the Hughes electorate:
Alfords Point, Bangor, Barden Ridge, Bonnet Bay, Bundeena, Como, Engadine, Garie Beach, Grays Point, Hammondville, Heathcote, Holsworthy, Illawong, Jannali, Kareela, Kirrawee, Loftus, Lucas Heights, Maianbar, Menai, Oyster Bay, Pleasure Point, Sandy Point, Sutherland, Voyager Point, Waterfall, Wattle Grove, Woronora, Woronora Heights, and Yarrawarrah; as well as parts of Audley, Gymea, Moorebank, Royal National Park, and Sylvania.
As a condition of entry in the Hughes Community Photography Competition you grant the Office of Jenny Ware MP a non-exclusive, royalty-free, use of the photo/s in all formats and any medium of communication for all promotional and general use purposes which the Office of Jenny Ware MP shall consider appropriate.
The winner/s will be selected and notified on Thursday 23rd May, 2024.
