International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day (IWD) on Saturday 8 March this year is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

To celebrate the inspiring women across the Hughes electorate this International Women’s Day, I am calling on the community to nominate the women in their lives who deserve to be recognised.

Recognition could be for community and charity work, commitment to a field of excellence or a woman whose selfless act over the past 12 months has made a difference in the lives of others.

There are three categories:

• Young Woman of the Year (18-25)

• Woman of the Year

• Senior Woman of the Year (70+)

To nominate, fill out the form below, writing 200 words or less, before 9am Monday 3 March 2025.

The winner for each category will be announced on the 6th of March 2025 at my International Women’s Day event at  Doltone House Sylvania Waters.
